Current work
In 1999 was appointed director of Children - Youth sports School ¹ 96
of the Moscow physical education-sports union. During 1999-2000 construction
of a new sports complex equipped with modern facilities for training
was completed thanks to the investment agreement with
Financial-construction corporation "Tesko". Thus a new educational institution - "Boretz" sports
school - began its activity. In 200-2001 "Boretz" became one of the largest
schools in Moscow. 855 young athletes train at 4 department in 6 sports
halls of the school. "Boretz" confidently takes first place in the Western
district of the capital in sambo, judo and sumo; at Moscow championships it is inferior in the total score only
to the world famous "Sambo-70" school. 
At present all Igor Kurinnoy's professional interests lie in the field of sports. He works in this line as an athlete, a sports organizer, a coach and a scientist.
- ATHLETE. Merited master of sports of Russia (USSR Master of sports of International class in Sambo, International class Master of sports of Russia in Sumo, Master of sports in Judo). Member of Sambo and Sumo National teams, member of "Sambo-70" professional Judo club.
- SPORTS ORGANIZER. Director of the Children and Youth sports school "Boretz", founder of the professional "Boretz" club, member of the Executive Committee of the Russian Sumo Federation, president of the Moscow Sumo Federation. On 2006, became one of the 10 best Moscow sports school directors.
Initiator and organizer of many important traditional open tournaments such as "Kurinnoy Sambo Cup" and "Boretz" challenges"
- COACH. Merited coach of Russia. Winner of the prize "Moscow masters", one of the best Moscow coaches of all sports events. Igor Kurinnoy trainees have won for Russia four gold and three silver medals at the European championships, gold medal at the World Students championship, bronze of the World championship and gold of the World Cup, dozens of honorable sports trophies from major International tournaments, championships and Cups of Russia.
- SCIENTIST. Doctor of philosophy, Professor, Head of the Sports Development department in the Russian Academy of Security, Defense and Law and Order. Laureate of Lomonosov premium in the field of science and education. Author of a number of works on optimization of the wrestler's instruction-training process and the increase of its effectiveness at the expense of the use of modern computer means. Original projector of "Sambo for Professionals" and the program to test the level of wrestlers physical preparation "Athletics". At present he is engaged in the problems of optimization of the training process restoration part.
